The teenage years are a time of rapid change – emotionally, socially, and psychologically.

Adolescents often face unique challenges as they navigate identity, relationships, school pressures, and increasing independence. Therapy offers a safe, non-judgmental space where teens can explore what they're feeling, process their experiences, and develop healthy coping tools. At The Resilience Room, we meet adolescents where they are – offering a compassionate, person-centred approach that honours their voice, autonomy, and individuality. Through talk, creative expression, and psychoeducation, we help teens make sense of their inner world and support their emotional growth.

As part of the therapy journey, it is important that we see the parents of the adolescent first without the adolescent being present. This initial session allows us to gather important background information, understand your adolescent's developmental and emotional history, learn about any concerns you may have, and assess the family dynamics that may be influencing your adolescent's behaviour. It also gives you the opportunity to ask questions about the therapeutic process and clarify goals. This helps ensure that therapy is as effective and supportive as possible for your adolescent.
